My uncle abused me.

At 13 he told me I was no longer wanted because I had started to develop.

At 16 I was ready to kill him.

My name’s Sergeant Major Ryan Jenkins and today, I’m ready to tell you my story.

“Master would flog me if I did, she won’t be happy when I tell her what happened here.”

“Master?”

“Stella.”

I startle awake as I leap off the bed and sprawl on the floor.

“Ry!” Mason yells from the other side of the door. I jump up off the floor and swing the bedroom door open.

“You scared the shit out of me, Mason.” I run my hand over my eyes and face trying to wake up. “What do you want, man?” But I’m met with silence. When I look over at Mase, he’s staring at my body. He’s mouth’s open and his eyes are so wide. He rakes his stare down my body, then back up again. He lifts an eyebrow as he ogles me. I look down and notice I’m completely naked. I fell asleep on my bed with just the towel wrapped around me and he scared me with his bashing that now I’m standing before him totally exposed.

He’s not moving away, and neither am I.

“Mason.” I lower my voice as he looks up at me and just stares.

He can see straight through me, totally bare and open, for him to see all my secrets.

“We need to leave in an hour,” Mase says as he takes a step closer to me.

I can feel his heat, and my body instantly reacts to him.

Don’t be a coward Ryan, just reach out and touch him.

His brown eyes turn from a hard brown into a molten chocolate as we stand a mere step apart from each other.

Our breathing is labored and rapid.

Mason reaches forward and brings his hand up to my chest, but before he touches me, his demeanor changes and he retracts it, dropping it beside his body.

“I can’t,” he whispers as he turns away from me and goes into his bedroom.

My head spins as I close my door and stand completely ashamed in my room.

He doesn’t want me.

Why would he?

I’m broken.

I don't do 'normal'.

I've found that the more I write, the more I like being different to other authors. I write in first person, and I love to challenge a reader.

I take the normal and switch it around.

For me, I really enjoy getting a reaction from a reader. So if I can evoke an emotion (regardless of if it's the emotion the reader wants) then I figure that I've done my job as an author I want to be.

I really quite revel in taking people out of their comfort zones and pushing them to read something different.

My genre of writing is, well quite frankly, where ever my mind goes. I won't label myself because I don't like sticking to one genre.

My goal with writing is just to take people away from whatever is going on in their lives, even if it's only for a split second.

I'm a go with the flow sort of person and don't really take a course of action to get where I am going. I live in the moment and don't usually worry about tomorrow because whatever life is due to bring me, I'll be happy to accept.

I love my family and friends and will help anyway I can if someone needs it. I really don't like people that are nasty just because they can be, I don't believe that's necessary, I mean life's hard enough as it is!

I hope you enjoy my books, I've had a hoot writing them. There's more to come.....

Okay. I am not sure where to begin with this review. I have read many books that are similar to Yes, Master, but I must admit that this is the very first book that I have read that has M/M sex scenes. I am still not quite sure what to think of it. Please note that I was well aware of the content prior to reviewing this title. My review does not reflect upon my conflicted opinion. I feel that the author did portray the M/M scenes in a professional and tasteful manner. My saving grace was the other scenes taking place while the M/M scene was occurring...That was HOT! However the premise of the story is not solely constricted to a dom/sub relationship or BDSM. Yes, this instances do occur in the book quite often, but I think that the real message that the author portrays in YES, MASTER is that the story is based upon overcoming abuse...deep dark secrets that are lurking in the past, and controlling your future. Ryan was raped by his uncle at the very young age of 10. This abuse proceeded until Ryan was 13 years old. From then on, Ryan rebelled. Ryan was so mentally and emotionally damaged that it took everything in him to survive and keep a sane mind. When he turned 16 Ryan had decided that he was going to kill his uncle, but he mom enlisted him into the Army before he had the chance. Ryan was able to utilize the Arny's discipline to become structured and trained, which allowed him to advance quickly up the ranks. Ryan is now a Sergeant Major in the Army. He has been able to establish the most healthy lifestyle that he can. He has a 10 year old daughter who is his heaven. Lani, seems to be the only thing keeping him sane. Ryan never told a soul about the sexual abuse.He kept those secrets bottled up inside of him until he couldn't take it anymore. He needed to find his release. He never thought that he would soon become introduced to entirely different lifestyle that would be the one key the held his freedom. Ryan's best friend Mason came to visit him when he had a break from filming. During this time Ryan was struggling with his attraction towards Mason. He felt that it was wrong to be attracted to him because he did not want to be labeled as gay. It was obvious that Mason attraction towards Ryan was mutual. However both men fought their urges and strived to control their urges and remain friends. Mason invited Ryan to an awards ceremony and that is when Ryan met Stella. Ryan was aware that Mason had some form of a relationship with Stella and was very confused by the way Stella was coming on to him. Mason never fully explained to Ryan exactly what kind of relationship Mason and Stella shared, all he said that it was different. However Ryan would soon find out exactly the type of relationship Mason was referring to. At that time Mason was Stella's pet. Stella helped Mason overcome his demons. Ryan could sense immediately that Stella was able to see the pain and hurt that hid behind his eyes. He felt that her green piercing eyes could see through to his soul. After the ceremony Ryan could not get Stella out of his head, she consumed his mind. It seemed that Ryan knew that Stella would be able to help heal him and he wanted to try, but was timid. Stella and Mason explained exactly what type of relationship they shared. Stella was able to sense that Ryan was interested and propositioned him to become her sub...at this time Ryan hesitantly agreed. All Ryan wanted to do was please her. The real question is: will the pleasure that Ryan receives from pleasing Stella more consuming than the voices that haunt him? You will have to read Yes, Master to find out...
